The Name

Formerly, I was know by "Mortose", meaning "death". I now refer to myself as "Mortox", meaning "toxic death".

My name change is a result of being labeled as toxic, a term which troubled me for a number of years. However, as my inspiration Darth Bane, I have chosen to own what was used to dehumanize me and which once caused me to hate myself.

Now, I am proud of myself, a pride which will grow as I continue my greatest work... me.

Christian Foot Washing

After reading a news story regarding clergy members washing the feet of DACA recipients, I decided to learn more about the custom.

http://www.beliefnet.com/faiths/christianity/articles/the-real-meaning-of-foot-washing-for-christians.aspx

While I find this ritual interesting, I do not understand why clergy would engage in this sort of thing with undocumented persons.

Given the DACA factor, it is clear their politics and religious ideologies have become indistinguishable.

The real question is why they remain sheltered from taxation after such political theatrics.

My thoughts as well.  Politics are poison for the mind and soul.

Indeed, tax the churches like any other business.

The reason why they do not is because of the difficulty in actually getting a church to report its income.  Everything they bring in is donation.

So to do this would open up the next 501's in line... which is their personal cash cows.

Tethered

I live in this reality and in this body. While dreams can contain revelation, it is important that I not dwell on dreams.

David, for your teaching regarding travel, I thank you. However, I have decided this practice is not a good investment of time for me. I need to focus on things I have neglected and facing certain fears.

Film

I watched this film earlier and although I found the acting and special effects to be awful, I did not expect otherwise.

The following link is to a piece of music from the film, which is the second thing which made watching this worth my time.

The Universe Within

Human bodies are each a universe full tiny creatures existing together, waging little battles and fighting invading forces in great body wars. Then there are those which clean up the aftermath; they are the custodians, the microscopic janitors which know every part of us more intimately than anyone we might know.

Writing

I am devoting more time to my writing because if I do not, I will have nothing to fill my labyrinth and nothing to inspire my society's curriculum.

Photo Manipulation

I had an image in my head and used my photo editing skills to bring it into this reality.
I call her, "The Red Lady" and she is a stylized composite.

To Want it All

What does it mean to "want it all"? It means to be hungry, starving, to crave everything it can offer; it also means to be willing to pay the price.

Darkest Nobility

I have no need to speak from my mouth depraved things about another's prophet, neither another's god. Instead, I am accuser, adversary and bringer of reason. I fulfill a part of my role when I cause my enemies to doubt; first they will doubt themselves, then they will doubt their god.

I am trained to be patient, to sow the seeds, to tend the soil, to water and feed and then to nurture growth; the weed consumes. I am the slow toxin which tastes sweet until death is certain; the warming ecstasy found from losing it all. I bring agony, melancholy, rage and confusion; I also bare the light.

Cussing is for adolescents, not for one of the Elect. It is sufficient that I will lead you through the doorway, down the long road to Hell.

A Mystical System: Study

After having nudged me for months on this topic, my teacher flat out demanded I study a mystical system; it is something I have been putting off because I detest the idea. This dislike originated from when I studied the Goetia, specifically because I found the use of Abrahamic concepts to be distasteful.

It was explained to me that once I have understanding of the system, I can do with it what I will. I can alter it as is relevant; I can even create my own system.

Given choices between the Kabbalah, Hermeticism or other systems, I decided on Hermeticism.

I will be keeping a record of my study here as an incentive for me to continue.

Special Snowflakes

I will not tell you that you are a unique special snowflake and you matter because if you need to be told this, you have no self worth; you mean nothing.

If you must constantly be told, "you are loved" in order to live life without pulling the trigger or going up the crimson river, you mean nothing.

If you need to repeat a mantra that you are a "unique individual", you are nothing.

If you condemn those who have mighty egos, you lack a sense of self; you mean nothing.

If you believe in "oneness" or "going with the flow", you have given up; you mean nothing.

Do you truly consider yourself as toxic or do you wear the badge as a representation of others perceptions? If so why do you think they perceive you that way?

Both... and as for why some perceive me as such, I no longer care.

Yes but l didn't ask you if you cared. I asked why you thought other people perceived you that way. Also why do you perceive yourself that way? What do you do or feel that makes you toxic?

VixensVengeance, I do not "think" people perceive me as topic, they have publicly stated that I am, especially at Force Academy.

Why do I perceive myself as toxic? The same reason I perceive myself as evil, I fit the description.

So from your comments I take it that you believe in the dichotomy of good and evil. But by your standards, what is your definition of evil and why do you feel that definition warrants a universal or absolute standard as such that you can apply it globally?

There is no belief, only acceptance of what already is. Evil exists, good exists; deny that if you please. If supreme divinity made the law, evil is what violates that law; good is what exists in compliance with it.

To simplify in an Abrahamic context, evil is rebellion from divine order; evil is disobeying the maker of the law, especially knowingly.

But what if there is no law maker? What if there is no divine law? You are still defining your morality (or lack there of) from a Deity. You are allowing this law maker to set the rules of what is good in contrast to what is evil that you then have the choice to break or not break. It leaves you still under the power of this law maker whether you chose to obey or not. I would think one such as yourself would reject such a concept of a law giver and take that power to create your own morality into yourself. In effect you become the divine law maker.
