We have that in the US as well.  In fact their is now pushes all over to have polygamy marriage accepted.  (Notice that is what is supporting the guy who is trying to marry his computer.)

I am not against polygamy (morally) if it goes both ways. However, I do not find it realistic , considering current divorce rates. I am also concerned about the potential of exploitation of polygamy for financial gain.

The first question which comes to mind is if Feminists would argue against polygamy as a whole or for it to be equal... which I would think would be the argument.

As far as financial, someone has to have money, in todays day and age, if you are making a family with children, 2 incomes are almost mandatory.  Unless someone is making way above the national average (at least in the US) then Polygamist relationships start becoming counter-productive.
So I can see what you mean.  But it does boil down to only the rich can have it.

This debate begs the question... WHY would someone want more than one significant other?

No clue. I have a hard enough time dealing with ONE spouse. Not getting into THAT mess!  Laughing
